On 15 July, the geological surveys of the BRICS countries gathered in Moscow to participate in the round table “Prospects for the BRICS countries cooperation in the field of study, development, and rational use of mineral resources.”
The event will become a platform for discussing interaction in the context of the mineral resource base development in the BRICS countries.
Round table participants will present scientific and technical developments in the field of digitalization of geology, as well as discuss issues of personnel training and harmonization of national systems for classifying mineral resources.
The Karpinsky Institute, as the leading institution of Rosnedra in the field of regional geological study of mineral resources, actively participates in the events of the round table for heads of geological surveys.
During the meeting, negotiations have already taken place with the Chief Executive Officer, South Africa Council for Geoscience, Mr. Mosa Mabuza, participated by the Director General of the Karpinsky Institute, Mr. Pavel Khimchenko. The event discussed the formation of the geological platform in the BRICS countries and the organization of working groups in important cooperation areas.
Let us recall that this year Russia chairs BRICS. The main vector of work is aimed at strengthening multilateralism for equitable global development and security. Within the framework of the presidency, many political, economic, and social events are organized.
