Advanced technologies and scientific and methodological support for regional geological study of the mineral wealth of the Russian Federation

ON 12 – 15 NOVEMBER 2024, the Karpinsky Institute will host the VI INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF YOUNG SCIENTISTS AND EXPERTS IN MEMORY OF A.P. KARPINSKY “Geology of the 21^st century. Advanced technologies and scientific and methodological support for regional geological study of the mineral wealth of the Russian Federation.”

For more than 70 years, the All-Russian (All-Union) Geological Research Institute of A.P. Karpinsky is responsible for the scientific and methodological supervision of state geological mapping of Russia. Over the years, professional teams of scientists and experts have grown and changed, and the institute’s scientific schools, known throughout the geological world, have formed, making a great contribution to the development of geology in our country.

The conference is aimed at uniting young scientists and experts in the field of geology, exchanging scientific and practical information, and discussing topical issues of developing regional geological study of mineral wealth, prospecting and exploration of minerals.

The conference accepts presentations on current and new scientific areas, breakthrough technologies in the regional geological study of mineral wealth.

Numerous workshops will be held for all participants during the conference. Conference participants – the authors of the best presentations – will be awarded diplomas and memorable gifts, as well as a free internship of their choice (course “Introduction to ArcGIS” or practical classes “Using Sherpa technology in ground-based geological survey”).
