MINERAL MANAGEMENT 6.0 – The Karpinsky Institute launches a professional development program for managers

The advanced training program MINERAL MANAGEMENT 6.0 is a project participated by the Karpinsky Institute experienced employees designated for managers of Russian mineral resource enterprises. The first module will be launched next month. 

“Quite often we receive messages that the Karpinsky Institute experts’ ideas were taken, used, copied, and the authors were not even indicated. In fact, we really do not see anything wrong with repeating our projects. On the contrary, from our point of view, this is the highest degree of recognition. This is exactly what should happen, since everything was once invented for the first time, then it acquired a mass character and became useful for the field and society as a whole. If our projects are spreading, it means we are successfully developing national geology. Sometimes, by the way, we also look around, but looking and making is a substantial difference,” notes the Karpinsky Institute Director General Pavel Khimchenko.

To date, the Karpinsky Institute has already created “from scratch” and launched such educational geological projects as the Hermitage Geology series, Great Geological Question video podcast, What Does Yura Have to Do with the Jurassic? audio podcast, Fairytale Geology educational columns, Mineralogical Exercise, Geological Literacy Program, inclusive programs for disabled people, an international program to promote the Russian geological school, including the Karpinsky Geological Classes and much more.

It is always difficult to be the first and to be in the vanguard, but apparently this is our mission. Now it has become noticeable that the geological field has literally “revived”. Much of what we have thought up, invented, implemented is already becoming widespread. Our ideas are becoming in demand in other geological companies and institutions not only in Russia, but also abroad. 

Bernard Shaw once wrote: “If you have an apple and I have an apple, and we exchange these apples then you and I will still each have one apple. But if you have an idea and I have an idea and we exchange these ideas, then each of us will have two ideas.” 

The advanced training program MINERAL MANAGEMENT 6.0 is our next geological project aimed at enterprise managers.
