Karpinsky Institute - St. Petersburg and Russia Team in Ethiopia

During the first working days in Ethiopia, Karpinsky Institute experts took part in the MINTEX mining event held in the capital of Ethiopia, Addis Ababa, from 23 to 26 November with the participation of Mr. Abiy Ahmed Ali, Chairman of the Government of the People's Democratic Republic of Ethiopia.

During the visit, Pavel Khimchenko, Director General of the Karpinsky Institute, held a number of working meetings, including with Ijara Tesfaye, Director General of the Ethiopian Geological Institute. Discussions focused on promising areas for work in the north and east of the country. The work is of a practical nature, as is the work with other partner countries of the Karpinsky Institute as part of the international 'Time of Geology' project.
