Karpinsky Class in Ethiopia hosted scientific educational events

Over the past two days, experts from the Karpinsky Institute conducted an extensive scientific educational program for listeners and visitors of the Karpinsky Geological Class opened at the end of 2023 at the Russian Centre for Science and Culture in Addis Ababa (Rossotrudnichestvo).

An interactive master class “Geology is Fun” was held for children and adults, and a documentary film shot during the field work of the Karpinsky Institute “Geological Routes. Chelyuskin” was shown.

An educational lecture for a wide audience “Studying Planet Earth” was also held. First Category Geophysicist of the Karpinsky Institute Andrey Karamyshev spoke about the development history of our planet, key eras, the origin and evolution of life on Earth.

In total, more than 350 people attended the events over two days. All participants received new knowledge in the field of Earth sciences.
