For two months from April 1 to June 1 2025, photos of our geologists can be seen in the State Darwin Museum!
The exhibition presents more than 100 pictures that were made by geologists of the Karpinsky Institute since 2017 in different remote corners of our vast homeland - from Karelia to Chukotka and Taimyr. The exhibition tells about the profession of a modern geologist - scientist and discoverer.
Svetlana Kolosova, Head of the Exhibition Department of the State Darwin Museum, Irina Bezzhon, Director of the Moscow Branch of the Karpinsky Institute, and Anna Abramova, Director of the Geological Research Museum of the Karpinsky Institute, spoke at the opening of the exhibition.
At the end of the opening ceremony, guests were treated to a screening of the documentary film ‘Geological Routes: Chelyuskin’. This film is an essay on behalf of a participant of the Karpinsky Institute's 2023 geological expedition to the northernmost part of Taimyr and the continent of Eurasia - the Chelyuskin Peninsula. Film crew members, namely the film director Vladimir Konovalov and the geologist of the Taimyr sector Kirill Dodonov, answered the questions of the audience.
More information about the exhibition and the opening ceremony can be found on the State Darwin Museum website.
