The paleogeographic reconstruction of the Curonian Spit area in the Late Pleistocene – Holocene

According to the results of compilation and analysis of geological and geotechnical data from different published and archive sources, as well as new geological-­geophysical data gathered by VSEGEI specialists in 2006–2014, the new computer paleogeographic reconstruction of the Curonian Spit area (the Russian part) was developed using GIS. The digital model includes reliefs of Late Pleistocene, Early and Middle Holocene, and nowadays surface of Curonian Spit area. The paleogeographic reconstruction shows geological history of study area during post-­glacial time.
