Geochemical characteristics and isotopic U­Pb dating of plagiogranite plutonic complex rocks from the Lok­Garabakh zone of the Lesser Caucasus (Azerbaijan)

Petrographic, petrochemical, geochemical, and isotopic investigations of rocks from the Bajocian plagiogranite complex of Lok­-Garabakh tectonic zone were carried out, including the study of trace­element composition, rare earth elements, and U­-Pb dating results (SHRIMP II), which enabled to substantiate the nature of complex formation. The findings suggest that it was formed in hypabyssal conditions of island arc system in two successive intrusion stages (180 and 170 Ma).
