Russian scientific school of geological cartography in compiling new generation of the state geological maps of the Russian Federation, its continental shelf and abyssal oceanic margins of Eurasia and Circumpolar Arctic

The innovative organization approaches of the state geological mapping of the Russian Federation based on close cooperation between enterprises of Rosnedra with institutions of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and Geological Surveys of neighboring countries, and utilizing up­to­date geophysical, geochemical, remote sensing, mineralogical, petrographic, and isotopic methods of investigations are discussed in the article. These results made it possible to promote further development of Russian scientific school of geological cartography, reproduction of raw materials base and supporting geopolitical interest of Russia on the international arena.
